Technical Program Manager

Dublin – Hybrid – Permanent

Our client is investing in new services, new product ranges, and a better customer experience. They are known for quality, value, and constant improvement, offering the scale and stability of a household name with the ambition of a business that is still growing.

What You Will Do

  • Lead major change: take ownership of large, high-impact technology programmes with several workstreams, and see them through from plan to delivery.
  • Shape how delivery works: be the right hand of the PMO leader. You will help set delivery priorities and strategy and decide how programmes are run and tracked.
  • Raise the standard: apply strong governance and keep improving the frameworks, standards and reporting the business depends on.
  • See the bigger picture: own programme roadmaps, manage dependencies between workstreams, and help decide which projects go ahead and in what order.
  • Advise senior leaders: delivery partner senior technology and business leaders rely on to make the big calls.
  • Keep delivery on track: spot risks early, deal with blockers before they slow things down, and know when to escalate.

You are likely to bring:

  • Experience in programme or senior project management roles, delivering complex technology or transformation initiatives.
  • A mix of in-house delivery and consultancy or advisory work, where structured problem-solving and best practice were expected.
  • Experience working within a PMO or formal governance framework, with an understanding of how individual projects fit into a wider portfolio.
  • The ability to work across business and technology stakeholders, influencing and advising rather than relying on positional authority.
  • Hands-on use of delivery and tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to technical programmes such as infrastructure, networking, integration, cloud, or enterprise systems.

Relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, MSP, SAFe, Agile, or similar) are welcome.
